MEETING DUES

You may pay monthly or upfront for the entire year ($165 per girl).

MEETING TIMES

Meetings start at promptly at 4:30pm

Please be on time, everytime. Please do not call to tell a leader you are on your way-that disrupts a meeting already in progress.

Welcome to GSSGC Troop 1041's website
We are a troop located in Southern California. We are comprised of 10 Juniors, and 6 Cadettes. We enjoy many opportunities as Girl Scouts to give back to our community, such as food pantry donations that we have made as part of our meeting dues, blankets for the homeless, community park and beach clean-ups, clothing/toy donations for the area's needy residents, visiting our elder friends at the convalescent homes and hand-made animal toys and supplies for the local shelter. Each October 31st we honor Girl Scouts of America founder, Juliette Low, by taking new baby-girl gift baskets with items donated by our troop's girls to our local area hospitals for baby girls born on Mrs. Low's birthday. We also take part in many service area and council events. Our Cadette girls volunteer as Program Aides for our service area's day camp, as well as assist other younger level troops as individual aides and older-girl friends. We are proud of our Cadettes as three of them have been certified in CPR/First Aid/Babysitting. As a troop we enjoy a wide variety of pursuits such as community theater, museums visits, hiking, camping, snow days, movie days, bowling, ice skating and many more. We hope you like our website!
If you are interested in becoming involved in Girl Scouts as
a volunteer, leader, or girl,
please call your local council or GSSGC at (800) 400-4475

Christmas Holiday Party at Ms. Amanda's
This years Christmas party will be at Ms. Amanda's house from
4:30pm till approx. 7pm on December 19th.
This is a pajama party but NOT a sleepover.
It is also a potluck. Although this party is for the girls of troop 1041, parents may attend or choose to wrap up some last minute gift shopping at the mall nearby. Either way please girls RSVP to Ms. Amanda the number of attendees for potluck assignments. It would be terrible to run out of food!

DON'T forget your gifts for our adoptive family!
Please don't forget to bring your gifts for our adoptive family to the Christmas party. We are hoping to have several presents for each family member + gift cards, etc. Please bring your gifts wrapped with the recipients name on the present.
Thank you for helping one of our own have a wonderful Christmas!

Back Again For the New Girl Scout Year
With our Troop's successful implementation of canned/dry foods for part of our bi-weekly meeting dues, we helped the area food pantries ALL year long!
CANNED/DRY FOODS are back again as part of our dues!
So please don't forget to bring in a canned or dry food item for EVERY meeting!

    ROCKS!

Silver & Bronze Award Projects Decided!
Our Cadette girls have decided to work together (and spare Ms. Amanda a headache!) hosting an event they have entitled,
"HOW TO SURVIVE MIDDLE SCHOOL". This event will take place after cokie season, so sometime in April, May, or June. Consideration may even be for September.
Our Junior's have all decided to do their Bronze awards independently or in pairs or groups. They all have some wonderful ideas of giving service to others as they earn this prtestigous award.
I am so  proud of our girls in 1041 and know they will give it their all as they do in everything!
