Announcements

Parents & Girls-
PLEASE take a moment to read the announcements below in their entirty.

MEETING DUES
Meeting dues have gone up this GS year to $7.50 per meeting. Meeting dues are due the troop account regardless of attendance or not. With only 2 meetings per month (with the exception of January & May 2009), $15 per month is a fair deal. Meeting dues are due at the time of the meeting - NO EXCEPTIONS. You may pay monthly or upfront for the entire year ($165 per girl).

MEETING TIMES

Meetings start at promptly at 4:30pm
. Please make sure you arrive PRIOR to 4:30pm to ensure not disrupting of the meeting. We have had many girls arrive late and we have had to stop and readdress issues that were already dicussed. We will no longer be doing this. Please be on time, everytime. Please do not call to tell a leader you are on your way-that disrupts a meeting already in progress. PARENTS- if you have any questions or financial matters that you need to address with a leader, please do so prior to 4:30pm or after 6:30pm.

Welcome to GSSGC Troop 1041's website
We are a troop located in Southern California. We are comprised of 12 Juniors, and 6 Cadettes. We enjoy many opportunities as Girl Scouts to give back to our community, such as food pantry donations that we have made as part of our meeting dues, blankets for the homeless, community park and beach clean-ups, clothing/toy donations for the area's needy residents, visiting our elder friends at the convalescent homes and hand-made animal toys and supplies for the local shelter. Each October 31st we honor Girl Scouts of America founder, Juliette Low, by taking new baby-girl gift baskets with items donated by our troop's girls to our local area hospitals for baby girls born on Mrs. Low's birthday. We also take part in many service area and council events. Our Cadette girls volunteer as Program Aides for our service area's day camp, as well as assist other younger level troops as individual aides and older-girl friends. We are proud of our Cadettes as three of them have been certified in CPR/First Aid/Babysitting. As a troop we enjoy a wide variety of pursuits such as community theater, museums visits, hiking, camping, snow days, movie days, bowling, ice skating and many more. We hope you like our website!
If you are interested in becoming involved in Girl Scouts as
a volunteer, leader, or girl,
please call your local council or GSSGC at (800) 400-4475

Saturday, October 4th was the 1st Annual Wildomar Street Fair & Car Show. Ms. Amanda, Mary-Alyce & Geneva brought the boxes of foods that the troop has been collecting. The number of food products were well over 65+. These were collected from last spring's dues collections.

Mary-Alyce & Geneva brought an additional 100+ food products in that we had been putting aside ourselves for just such a service project.

Kadie & Laci took it a step further, they made it a full scale service project and took donations from BOTH their neighborhoods! The girls had well over 100+ cans and dry packaged foods for the Wildomar Food Pantry.

For every 2 cans you recieved a raffle ticket. All the girls had winning tickets with Laci winning the ultimate prize - a girls bike!
CONGRATULATIONS to Laci and all our troop for their efforts to help provide meals to others in our community!
